The Tamil Nadu Pencak Silat Association is the official governing body responsible for promoting and organizing Pencak Silat activities within Tamil Nadu. It operates under the aegis of the Indian Pencak Silat Federation (IPSF), which is affiliated with international organizations such as PERSILAT, APSIF, and SAPSF.
In recent developments, the association achieved affiliation with the Tamil Nadu Olympic Association (TNOA), marking a significant milestone in its recognition within the Sports Development Authority of Tamilnadu (SDAT) state’s sporting community.
The association has been active in organizing and participating in various competitions. For instance, recently we hosted the ASMITA Khelo India Women’s League in Trichy on February 27-28, 2025, which was noted as a successful event. Additionally, in 3rd Tamil Nadu Beach Pencak Silat Championship July 2024, the association organized a Pencak Silat match, further demonstrating its commitment to fostering the sport at the state and National level.
TNPSA coordinates various activities, including training programs, workshops, and competitions across the state.
Training Centers and Coaches
TNPSA has authorized several coaches and training centers throughout Tamil Nadu. For instance, certified Pencak Silat coach and national-level official.
